As we stand at the threshold of the 10th Edition of Bosco Model United Nations, I am reminded of the profound truth in the words: “Diplomacy is living in the tension between idealism and realism, and choosing dialogue anyway.” Over the past decade, Bosco MUN has grown into a distinguished platform where young minds embrace dialogue amidst disagreement and choose cooperation over conflict. It gives me immense pride to welcome each one of you: delegates, faculty advisors, and distinguished guests, to this milestone edition.

Model United Nations is a dynamic educational experience where students assume the roles of diplomats representing member states in global and regional forums. Through rigorous research, formal debate, and resolution drafting, delegates address critical global issues within diplomatic protocols. It offers a rare and enriching opportunity for young minds to explore the complexities of international relations and policymaking, while developing essential skills in negotiation, leadership, and public speaking.

The theme for this year’s conference, “Diplomacy Amidst Disruption: The Tenth Chapter,” is particularly relevant in a world increasingly shaped by conflict and uncertainty, where the need for constructive dialogue and resilient diplomacy is more urgent than ever. This edition features six distinguished committees: the United Nations Historic Security Council, NATO, Nixon’s War Cabinet, DISEC, AUPSC, and the International Press Corps, each designed to challenge delegates to engage with both historical and contemporary global disruptions.

As we convene for this esteemed conference with a renewed sense of purpose, let us remember that Bosco MUN is more than an academic forum; it is a transformative journey that shapes principled and responsible global citizens. With this spirit in mind, I extend my best wishes to all the delegates for a meaningful and intellectually rewarding experience at Bosco MUN 2025.

Best Regards,
Mrs. Gillian Culpeper,
Teacher-in-Charge,
